![]() ![]() No windows splash screen or Asus logo (bios) screen. Persistent as I am I reset the cmos again, let it sit on the black screen and then it booted directly to windows. It did nothing, but hang on a black screen on start up. Just to let you know, I pulled the battery, reset the cmos, and pulled the jumper. This total pain in the ass build is finally up and running again. What gives?Īny ideas before I toss the system out the window? At my wits end with this build. So I installed the bios on my flash card, and used the rear port to do the update. When I tried earlier to flash the bios from EZ update according to the manual, I would get a screen that said "BLOCKED"? It did not, and hung then opened windows again. Not being able to get into the bios, I thought why not download the previous bios as It would ask me at start up to configure the bios. My bios was the latest 2401 and upon boot up the system hangs with a black screen, then boot directly to Windows 7. So I went out and dropped good money on a Asus GTX970 OC. ![]() ![]() Thinking the video card could have been the culprit all along, I decided it was well past its time and retired my Geforce GTX660 graphics card and it was time to get a new up to date card. Since having blue screen errors, I have updated my PSU to an HX850i, downloaded umpteen drivers and finally had the system semi stable. Man, I have almost had enough with all the Bull*hit with this Maximus VII Hero. ![]()
